Biography

Hello! I am Cheryl Lovett and I have taught in Jeff Davis County for 22 years. Teaching is a “work of heart” and I have poured my heart into my students and enjoy every moment. Throughout my career, I have learned that building relationships with students is fundamental to their success. Seeing the world from their perspective allows me to relate and better understand their learning needs in order to help them become productive members of society.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading, camping, and spending quality time with my family. I have three grandchildren with another one on the way and travel to see them as often as I can. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Greg Lovett, a school counselor at JDHS, for 36 years and look forward to spending more time together as we walk this road of life together.
