Constance Hester, RN
Hello! My name is Constance Hester and I am the school nurse at Jeff Davis High School. I graduated from Jeff Davis High School in 2000. I always knew that nursing was the career for me. I obtained my nursing degree from South Georgia State College in 2003. I began my nursing career the same year at a neighboring community hospital where I have been employed for 18 years. My nursing experience as a Registered Nurse includes charge nurse roles, medical-surgical, pediatrics, orthopedics, nursery, and mother-baby. I hold ACLS, PALS, NRP, and BLS certifications.
In 2016, I began my new nursing role as a school nurse here at JDHS. School nursing and hospital nursing are two different areas, and I am passionate about both. I continue to work at the hospital where it all began, but on weekends and during the summer break.
I enjoy school nursing and am thankful for the opportunity to serve students. My main goal is to make sure that students are healthy and ready to learn. I feel that it is important to have good communication with parents about their child's health. Each student should have a Clinic Form completed by a parent/guardian on file in the nurses office for the current school year. Please make sure your child has returned this form to school. It is very important to notify your child's school nurse of any medical conditions such as diabetes, asthma, seizures to name a few.
Below you will find the clinic form and a few other resources.
