MCV4 Vaccine
Beginning in July of 2021 students entering the 11th grade must have a booster dose of the Meningococcal Conjugate vaccine, also known as the MCV4. All 11th-grade students for the 2023-2024 school year will need to bring an updated Certificate of Immunization to the school nurse showing the MCV4 booster was given. These need to be turned in as soon as possible, preferably by September 30th.
It is a state law in Georgia that students must have an up-to-date certificate to attend school. Failure to comply with this law can result in your child not being able to attend school. Please contact the local health department or your primary care provider for this certificate. The Georgia Department of Health will review certificates at the school for compliance.
